First Week from Coach Corbin

Wolves,

First of all again what an amazing job getting the fundraising week out of the way! Slightly warm day for the underclassmen and looking forward to hearing how the day goes for the upperclassmen.
Regarding fundraising.  We will continue through Friday 6:00 PM PST allow all donations (Fundrazr page is excluded from competition) to count toward each groups total.  At the end of the day today we will announce the totals raised by the end of Sunday.
Coach James first weekend 8-21 / 8-25.
All I took a new job a few months ago and have a mandatory, once a year event causing me to miss 8-21 / 8-25.  Upperclassmen, it is my appologies not to be able to join you today.  I truly enjoyed this time with you last year.  You all ROCK so thanks to all the support you will have from Coach Hannah, Lee Wojnar, Jill Bender (Lee and Jill have volunteered to cover for me in my absence) and other parents that will be attending, you will again rise to the occasion and crush it!! Thank you all!
Regarding Monday-Thursdays training/evaluations
The staff will work together for all the sessions this coming week.  For the first four days, we will be working on, technical skills, individual creativity and playing small sided games.  Full sided matches will start on Friday.  This will include Friday morning, evening and Saturday’s session.  Following Saturday’s session we will be finalizing the v1.0 of the rosters. For the first week, each session will be run by a different member of the coaching staff.  You will have a chance to get to know each one of us and we will have a chance to get to know each one of you.  Please be aware everyday this year is an evaluation of your physical, mental and commitment in the program.  So please by no means think that in my absence the staff will not be collaborating on what the best development for each player is.  We are focusing on many things, however striving for perfect effort every day not perfect performance.
We as a staff are looking forward to an exceptional year! If you have any questions please discuss with coaches on the field.  If they can not answer all of your questions, please feel free to reach out to me.  Just to let you know my responses will be delayed as I am in training from early to late this week.
Parent Code of Conduct –
This agreement is in review and awaiting final approval.  Sorry for the delay in getting this out.
Have a great Sunday and see you all on Friday!

2016 Upperclassmen VS. Lowerclassmen Annual Car-Wash Competition starts Today!!

Good Afternoon Wolves!

Today the competition starts today!  The winner of the competition not only gets dinner made for them but waited on and fed by the losing team.  Last year the underclassmen won the competition.  It was extremely close and together we raised almost 6k for the weekend.
The tools you will have at your disposal is as follows;
1. Pre-sales tickets – Please start the pre-sales process tonight.  We are asking for a donation.  Whatever they are willing to donate will get them a coupon (attached).  Please make sure you print the right one for upper or underclassmen.  Make a list of who purchased and how much to keep track.  Most people will donate and not show.  However please encourage them to show.  We want our donors to get value for their donation.  Bring your pre-sales list and money to your day.
2. Sponsorship programs – please see this years donation options and visit local business to see if they are interested in any of the packages we are offering.
3. Each team should have a meeting and get organized and put a plan together to sell the tickets, sell the sponsorship programs and how they want to approach their day at the car-wash.
4.  Leverage parents, brothers and sisters to help!
5.  In the next few days we will have a go fund me type of page up.  Each player will be asked to reach out to a target number of 10 friends and family members and ask them to donate.  Just to be clear, this is intended for f friends and family members that live to far away to attend the car-wash.  It is my experience that many who live a distance are willing to support you with a small donation if they have a way to donate.   You will all get a copy of the link to send out.
Strategy:
Last year teams prospected in groups to ask for donations through pre-sales coupons and corporate sponsorship’s in the days leading up to their day.  Also they put together signs for the corners, walked parking lots in teams, stood on corners and asked for donations, all wore t-shirt’s and visor’s they made.
Each team will need to supply buckets, sponges, rags, dry towels and or shami’s, soap, tire shine, step ladders, brushes for wheels and to reach high places. Hoses will be provided by me.
My advice is be creative, work together and prepare to have fun!!
****  Saturday is the Underclassmen’s day.  August 20th from 9 am – 5 pm***
****  Sunday is the Upperclassmen’s day.  August 21st from 9:30 – 5:30***
Expectations:
You are expected to show up 15 minutes early and  be there all day to support your team unless you have previously communicated with me.  Look forward to breaking last years weekend record!
All Checks are to be made out to BHHS ASB – Memo Women’s Soccer

Please contact me with any questions.

Welcome to Evaluations – August Calendar

Welcome to the 2016 Season Wolves!  Below is the calendar many of you have been asking for.  We have a great year planned and are looking forward to a great start.  We will have our pre-season Car-wash as posted below.  Coach Corbin will send out the sponsorship packages and pre-sales certificates as we did last year.  I will send out recommendations on how you manage your pre-sales activities later this week.  We will need underclassman and upperclassman volunteers to organize your teams to win the competition.  The loser of this years Car-wash has the privilege to not only make a meal for the winning team but to wait on them and feed them!  Should be fun!!
August 3-Player Kit for 2016 season pre-order window.  You will receive an email with options and requirements.  For returning players we will be ordering the same shirts as last year.
August 18th & 19th – Turn in ASB, Athletic codes and Parent contracts to ASB to turn out for Wolves Women’s soccer.  If you do not turn in by the 19th, you will not be eligible for the firsts day of training.  Please be proactive in getting this done.  Thank you! –
